About

I’m an older guy that somehow has fallen under the spell of Japanese Idols.

I’m not disclosing my age but I can say that at 20 years old I started to listen to a new style that had just emerged – thrash metal (you can do the math) and since then I have been very into metal/punk/prog/alternative/indie not listening to/buying pop at all.

In early 2014 I stumbled over the Gimme Chocolate!! video and I thought what is this garbage! Fast forward 6 months or so and I somehow ended up on that video again and thought what does their other stuff sound like and frankly I must admit I was intrigued.

I spend the next few days watching all the videos and soon found some background videos on the girls and then Sakura Gakuin happened and my life changed forever, LOL!

I now listen to A LOT of different Japanese idol groups/artists or whatever they prefer to call themselves.

I had no previous interest in Japan at all, I was never into manga/anime and whatnot I didn’t even think Japanese girls were that cute (well except the love of my life Tsukasa Aoi (NSFW)). But now after getting into idols it brought along some interesting stuff about Japanese culture and how they act and carry themselves, and to be honest I absolutely love most things about Japan, and my first trip there this summer (2015) only confirmed that I really need to move there permanently (btw. I currently speak no Japanese whatsoever).

When reading this blog please notice:

I mostly make this for myself so I can go back and get reminded of the good times I’ve had.

I’m not a writer or storyteller, I have bad grammar I don’t do punctuation well so there will be a lot of run-on sentences, it has nothing to do with English is not my first language because I understand English 100% if I had written it in my native (Danish) Language it would have been the same.

That being said I hope you enjoy my blog, feel free to comment or ask me anything.
